Cumberland Council was formed in May 2016. Located 25km west of the Sydney CBD, the council has an estimated resident population of 219,300.
This newly formed Council consists of Greystanes Ward, Wentworthville Ward, Granville Ward, South Granville Ward and Regents Park Ward. Stronger and now more efficient the newly formed council is working on delivering better services and infrastructure to their residents.
Handle Branding was engaged by Cumberland Council to work with them in completing a full redesign of all their waste resources and education. Aimed at both within Council and within the broader community. Handle was able to showcase and standardise a united and consistent message that engages the target audience. In short the messages were to put ‘Waste in the right place’, Organise a pick-up and to utilise some of the new services available.”
We rolled out an advertising campaign in print and digital to target the new online booking service, re-designed all communications internally and externally and developed mascots around kids education. With any roll-out there were admittingly a few kinks in the waste pick up system but at the same time once ironed out allowed for a smooth transition whilst they grew into their new branding.
